Baking Cart

I mentioned moving all my baking supplies in my previous post, Well, when I was at Ikea getting storage containers this past weekend, I got to see this cart (see below) in person, and since it has been on my wish list for a while now, I decided I had to get it.

{cheaper and smaller option}

It was love at first sight. Putting it together though is a different story! Ikea furniture has the worst instructions with no words to tell you where to put what where.

Anyway, I thought it would be perfect to hold all of the necessary baking supplies we all have. Now, rather than running all over my kitchen, these ingredients are conveniently located in one portable location. I store the cart in my pantry and roll it out whenever I am baking. And, let's just say that I am loving how easy it has been to have everything in one spot.

The storage bins I used for the flour, sugars, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda are perfect and super affordable. I labeled them with a chalk marker on vinyl cut out using a decorative punch. The pop of pink is just what this project needed!

I am all about using what you already own, so those extra Birchbox boxes I've been hoarding came in handy for storing my cupcake liners, food coloring, and sprinkles.

There was even room for measuring cups/spoons, a food scale, cookie cutters and the liquor I use for some of our favorite desserts...Kahlua Cake and Jack Daniels Pecan Pie. (yum!)

I am loving this solution and the fact that it's cute doesn't hurt either. Why didn't I do this sooner!?

Sidenote: My sister-in-law got me a labeler for my birthday! I totally geeked out when I opened up the amazon box...I am glad no one was around when I saw what it was. There may or may not have been a happy dance and some squealing involved. So be forewarned that there will probably be a whole lot of labeling projects going on around here!

    1. Thank you! I love the size of birchboxes. I can't wait to collect more to create storage in my office. I always seem to use them before I get my next one though!

  6. I have this cart and my stand mixer fits on the top shelf perfectly. Then my baking supplies fit underneath! I just roll it up to the counter and lift the mixer to use.
